Benefits Realisation Planning for Digital Health Projects

The process of moving to digital platforms is a substantial capital investment, and there are challenges in ensuring anticipated benefits identified in a business case are realised.

This practical, hands-on workshop will help participants better understand:

  • Why benefits realisation is important, and when to start benefits planning activities
  • Consider the stakeholder groups that might benefit from a given digital health project and the impact of varying perspectives on benefits realisation planning; and
  • How health leadership can use benefits realisation planning to support strategic decision making.

Based on previous participant feedback, we will also introduce:

  • Techniques to develop a quality business case
  • Approaches to collect, track and report on benefits
  • Considerations when managing risk in a program management context; and
  • Strategies for internal engagement and advocacy when working within complex health organisations.
